I know I'm drawn to book covers that seem energetic and have motion combined with cool textures. This may need a more blue background color for me to be serious about it but I love the whimsey here. Just trying to find different ways to express Cloud Pharmacy in an indirect manner. Thank you for all the comments. I'm following every lead you are kind enough to send to me.
like it! You have a lot of good ideas.
ReplyDeleteYes! I love the idea of the elements actually in the jars... instead of just labeled. A way to work the blue in might be to have the backdrop blue sky with clouds -
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! It was your suggestion that led me to this. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I've found the photographer for this. It was on a blog and I've contacted that woman but no response yet. Fingers crossed!
Deletejust a little fun, and to get ideas of what can be done on photoshop, even with my limited knowledge. i used a photo that i took of buttermilk clouds and combined it with the image that you posted.
ReplyDeletethough i must say that the bottle image loses a lot of quality if i try to increase the size any more than it is.

Hi Nance,
ReplyDeleteI get a broken link when I try to go to the link you posted. I've located the artist who took this but have not heard back. I fear that since it is 9 years old and was taken to show an art project, I'm probably out of luck. Damn, because this is my favorite so far.
you will find the right one...it's an adventure.

maybe this link will work.
Susan, Did you try www.lesliekeating.com? The images of the bottles are on her blog with is old, however she is apparently now a fabric artist. Her pinterest account seems to be current... Sounds like she lives in Australia.
ReplyDeleteDear Susan,
DeleteYou are so kind! Yes, that's the information I found as well. I've written to Leslie but since the photograph is so old and wasn't meant as an art piece -- my guess is that she won't have a high resolution file. And so goes the search. At least I am finding out what I like --Thanks so much for your detective work!
Susan,
ReplyDeleteYou probably already know this, but Istockphoto.com is an excellent source of photos, for purchase, by professional photographers. Many of them don't look "stock" (i.e. processed) but fresh and inspired.
Thanks, Drew,
DeleteI know they do lovely work. I guess it just seems so commercial to me. I know it's great that photographers are getting paid. I'm still searching and feeling less sure of what I want. Maybe a painting? Maybe some sort of still life with movement? I feel a bit lost on this project at the moment. Thanks for your suggestion -- I will check it out!
