My most beloved image today; what do you think?

And is this more an album cover than a book of poems? I do love the subtle colors and the suggestion of clouds in the wall. Is it too sad? Too simple? Just right? Love to have comments!

  1. I like this, too! And somehow I had missed the bottles with round stoppers, and I am now in love with those.

Yes, this might be the album cover. So you can have a book AND an album!!

  2. I have liked all of the photos you've posted. May I be so bold to ask where you are finding images? I also need to start looking for cover art soon...

    1. I am just googling images. I put together different words that I find interesting. For example: vintage pharmacy is what I googled for this one...It's overwhelming -- there are also specific sites. One piece of art I liked I could have ordered as a coffee cup or t shirt. For me, that was the kiss of death!

  3. I like the one right before this one the best, with the photos. Very evocative!

    1. Thanks, Brenda! I am just not sure if the colors are too pale. I love the message of the image best -- that's for sure. If you know any photographers, send them my way --- or any painters who deal with vaguely surreal or collaged images...

  4. Susan,

My friend painter Randall David Tipton has a number of cloud images that you might like. See, for example, his "Over the Sea 21" and "Over the Sea 23" in the section New Work on Paper 2012 on his site. I also like his "Storm Over the Lake". (He contributed the cover for my collection.)

  6. I like the feel of the first one a little more.
This one feels a bit stark in comparison.

  7. I agree. I'm trying desperately to locate the photographer of the mantle piece one. I've tried three different leads but no response yet... I've also asked a friend who is a photographer to see if she has ideas for me. It is both a wonderful freedom and a heavy responsibility to choose my own art work. Thanks for your feedback!
