I Am Obsessed! Last One?

Photography by Anti-Pati-Ya

Thank you to Maria for sending me more gorgeous images to choose from. This is powerful in terms of bold colors, balls of light, and some otherworldly presence. In two weeks I have a break from teaching and that may be the soonest I can sit down with the manuscript of Cloud Pharmacy and see what comes closest to my heart. The good news is that there are some amazing choices. Thanks to everyone who has been sending me suggestions. I never knew there were so many different sites to look at!

  1. This is perfect. It is what I had in my head for you. I like it more than the other art work and I really liked that. I don't envy the decision you must make. It is beautiful!

  4. I love this one Susan -- the light, it's all about the ethereal quality of the light. They have all been beautiful, but this one wins for me.

  5. Yeah yeah yeah! I love the quality of light, the colors and the way one bottle is distorted the other.....but also the perspective...I feel like the bottles are looking at us!

  6. Wow - I do LOVE this. This is by far my favorite. Just one more thought to share - have you looked at any of the double helix images?

    1. Not yet. Did you send me links to those? I'm afraid this image seems a bit masculine to me. Who knew bottles had genders?

  7. Susan, I didn't send links but had done some searching on double helix cloud images after I read your poem, Cloud Pharmacy, and was drawn to the helix image. When I was searching I did see this image that I saved just because I was intrigued so I'll pass it on: http://news.yahoo.com/photos/artist-creates-indoor-clouds-slideshow/#crsl=%252Fphotos%252Fartist-creates-indoor-clouds-slideshow%252Findoor-clouds-photo-1337276260.html Very odd - but could almost be the inside of an old pharmacy with a helix type cloud inside. I am sure that you will find the right image - I hadn't thought about bottles having gender - something more to ponder.

    1. Thanks so much! I loved this photo when it went around FB this summer. I've also contacted the bottle artist in Russia (!) and so hope to have some good options -- it is a super hard choice to make -- wish I could just decide at this point -- at least I've settled on a title!

    2. I want to thank you so much for sending the link to me. I will get in touch with the artist tomorrow and see if he is amenable. I'm feeling like this is really the image. It has so much of what I'm looking for: movement, color, strangeness, and beauty. I thought I wanted a flying woman -- it turns out I wanted a cloud! Fingers crossed!
